I have being in this category a couple of years now until it was affecting my daily life
I did some research and had some Ayurveda tests and found out that I had a fungal over growth (candida) throughout my body, my symptoms were: feeling run down, fatigued, fungal rashes that never seem to go away, a white tongue with stringy saliva, indicating my system was inflamed.
Not many people would realise that our health is dependent on good ‘gut flora’ (gut microbiota, or gastrointestinal microbiota) some call this our second brain
In The Cure Candida Cook book by Ann Boroch CNC states:
That the major causes of Candida overgrowth are antibiotics, steroids, birth control pills, oestrogen replacement, having poor diet , cancer therapies, heavy metals (in air and water) alcohol overuse and stress, all of the above directly or indirectly destroy the good bacteria in our gastrointestinal tract allowing yeast to take over.

I focused on changing my diet and eliminating foods that inflame my system as you may have guessed refined and processed foods are on top of the list, I followed a Paleo diet for a while, eating small amounts of meat (I eat mainly salmon and organic chicken) with lots of vegetables low amounts of starch, carbs and natural sugars (fruit)
A key to living a healthy life is to remove the foods that inflame our systems
